Black Rock Fall Retreat 2009 |
(2009 Black Rock Fall 01) Intro: Woman at the Well (John 4) |
A life filled to the brim with Christ never thirsts. The water is a Person; He gives Himself. After the filling comes the flow. Your part is just to live and let Jesus minister for Himself. |

(2009 Black Rock Fall 02) Harbingers of Revival |
Harbingers are those first birds (like the robin) that appear to signify that spring is coming. Dana shares the different harbingers that revival is coming, such as the prayers of the saints. "If you've got the face of God, you're revived." Revival is a temporary means to bring us into the presence of the Lord. |

(2009 Black Rock Fall 03) A Life filled with Christ (John 4) |
The woman at the well pictures not only how to start but a Christian in maturity. It starts with a sip, it turns into a spring, the spring fills the life, and then it comes out as rivers--gushing rivers of Living Water! Fullness is complete deliverance from cisterns (any substitute for Christ that runs dry), buckets and ropes--our fleshly efforts to draw from empty cisterns. Ed's heart and prayer is that God would show us Christ and what we already have in Him. |

(2009 Black Rock Fall 04) Remembrancers of Revival |
Revival is where once again Christ is put at the center of the whole thing. Every time revival happens it changes the landscape, as Dana remembers four of them in the more recent history of the Church. Dana shares his heart of desiring to take the great longing for God (as evidenced in today's songs) to a people who have the experience of the living Lord. |

(2009 Black Rock Fall 05) Rivers of Life (Ezekiel 47) |
Ed's 3 main points are 1) it's Him, 2) it's not you, and 3) it's Him through you. You are not the river; God Himself is the river, and every instrument He uses, like the mud and spit on the eyes of the blind man, must fade away. In Ezekiel 47 the prophet (picturing you and I individually) and temple (picturing the corporate body of Christ) get smaller and smaller as the River gets larger and larger. |
