(Bond Servant's Heart 01) Introduction |
6021 |
God has provided one model of the Christian life as a safeguard against all other incomplete models: the Apostle Paul. The secret of everything is the all-sufficiency of the Lord Jesus Christ. The first principle by which God created Paul to be a bond servant is the same that He uses to conform us. God had to to take Paul beyond Paul into the all-sufficiency of Jesus. |

(Bond Servant's Heart 02) Making of a Bond Servant |
6021 |
Before Paul "crossed the line" into the all-sufficiency of Christ, he used to believe that he had to claim Jesus' victory by simple faith. He learned that victory was wrapped up in a Person, the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus has victory and I have Jesus; that's a whole different direction! When God pushed Paul over the line, he found that ministry has to do with the joy of satisfying God's heart. |

(Bond Servant's Heart 03) Brokenness |
6021 |
Paul learned that the Christian life is seeing Jesus and having more light--"Let there be light" happens again and again and again. That's to receive light. To release that light of Jesus in us requires brokenness. If we are resisting brokenness, we are resisting the only way Christ can be released. |
