(Family 01) Introduction |
Like the scroll in Revelation 5, God has a scroll with a blueprint of what the Christian family is to be, yet many are weeping because nobody knows how to open it. Though fallen creation has pictures of spiritual realities which are muddied but not destroyed, the family has none on earth. Instead we must 'go upstairs' and see God's family in heaven, and in seeing that picture, God will restore our family to His original intention! |

(Family 02) Overview of the Master Plan |
A Christian family is a family that has foundations. Brother Ed shares the home is to be a dwelling place that pictures heaven. The very first picture of God in the Bible is His unity and a man and wife in unity makes the home the place that it is even as heaven is the way it is. The greatest legacy you can leave to your kids is being one with your spouse. |

(Family 03) Creator, Savior & Sanctifier |
The first thing God does to have a family is save you (i.e., get you into relationship with Himself) and then sanctify you (i.e., change your behavior to match His). Ed shows how this same process must occur in the family, where the parents "save" the child by bringing them into a relationship through exhibiting unconditional love and acceptance . And out of that relationship flows a trust that leads to surrender. |

(Family 04) God The Provider |
In the Incarnation, God came down to our level to communicate; so it is with parents to children. God meets our needs by providing our one Need--Himself. When we become a high tower--resting in the Lord and being conformed to His image--we will become the answer to their need. |

(Family 05) Builder Of Home |
The way parents live has a natural effect on the lives of the children, as seen with Samuel and Eli's sons. Ed shares from his own life and six children what a difference it makes to see the parental responsibility to go after the Lord, not try to make men and women of God out of the children. Instead of fretting over which plan to choose in raising children, the rest is that if God builds it, any plan will work! |
