Psalm 23 Shared by Jeff Smith |
(Psalm 23 #1) Sheep to Sons |
3313 |
Jeff shares insight on this all-familiar psalm where you start off as a sheep in the pasture and end up as a son in the house. The progression of the psalm indicates the great change that goes on in our heart as we go from sheep to sons. These things are in order: the food of the green pastures (the Word of God), the still waters (the Holy Spirit), and restoring our soul. |

(Psalm 23 #2) The Valley of the Shadow |
3313 |
Psalm 23 tells a story that progresses from us being sheep to being sons. 5 observations of the valley of the shadow of death are 1) we are led to it, 2) it is deep darkness, 3) it's designed to bring about an end, 4) you are alone in it, and 5) you leave everything behind. In this valley our relationship becomes very personal, leaving 'He' behind and clinging to 'Thou'. |

(Psalm 23 #3) Exiting the Valley of the Shadow |
3313 |
Jeff concludes the "spiritual odyssey" of Psalm 23 by illustrating the valley of the shadow in Peter's denial and restoration on the beach. The second half of the psalm abound with the fulness of life as a result of union with Christ! |
