Liberty In Christ 01: Liberty: What Liberty is not |
If you've never understood your bondage, freedom means nothing. Ed begins the series by stating 5 things that liberty is not. Liberty is not absolute (only God is free), license to do your own thing, or freedom from responsibility, troubles or legalism. |

Liberty In Christ 02: What Liberty is |
You cannot have liberty unless you have full access to God. Ed shows the subtlety of legalism through confession of sin to appease the conscience and legalism to try to pacify the law. Many Christian cliches such as "Sin breaks your fellowship with God" and "The cross is when God's will crosses your will" very subtly miss the mark of the true liberty for which Christ has set you free. |

Liberty In Christ 03: The Double Foundation of Liberty |
We have missed the Christian life by so many miles. The foundation of liberty is the finished work of Christ (access to His presence) and the unfinished work of Christ (access to His person). Everything that God is doing in your life is either to reveal Himself to you in the Bible or to transform your character by that revelation of Himself. |

Liberty In Christ 04: The Method of Liberty: Pure Grace |
The old covenant was a law-based contract that offered no hope of forgiveness. 4 things that the new covenant offers that the old covenant never could was forgiveness of sins, an oath, absolutely unconditional, and made provision for the old sin nature. We have liberty to live by the everlasting covenant--by grace--to keep the precepts of God's law. |

Liberty In Christ 05: The Means of Liberty: Simple Faith |
The Bible never tells you what faith is; it only offers definitions and illustrations, such as eating, drinking, walking, etc. We do know with absolute certainty that faith is a tremedous advance on sight, gloriously making provision to see things invisible. We may nod our head that the object of faith if God Himself and then turn right around and think there is power in prayer or power in faith. Ed shares that the key to faith is not acts of faith but a direction that rests upon the character of God. |

Liberty In Christ 06: The Result of Liberty: A holy walk with God |
The result of liberty is sanctification. Holiness is what I am as I walk before God. The covenant of circumcision was a shadow of the reality of being separated from the flesh as the source of life. |
