Summary | Romans 9 underscores three great truths: the sovereignty of God as the foundation of world redemption, the channel of redemption as one people in Old and New Testament, and the climax being the glory of God in all the earth. Paul uses three illustrations to show God always intended a spiritual seed (i.e., miraculous birth of Isaac) and that it's not of works (i.e., selection of Jacob over Esau). God uses "Pharaohs" to open people's eyes to see more of Himself. |
