| Summary | Jacob's wrestling match with the Angel of the Lord did nothing more than bring Jacob back to the Ladder--the blessing comes through Christ. We learn from this that God is always the initiator. When He fights us, He always strengthens us to prevail with Him but weakens us to the place where we can only cling to Him.
