| Summary | In chapter 6 the Holy Spirit focuses on the truth of obedience. The feeding of the 5000 teaches that obedience is returning to the feet of Jesus for that which is necessary to fulfill His requirements. Peter's walking on the water (from Matthew 14) teaches that you cannot obey the Lord apart from a mighty miracle of God. In John 7 at the greatest of all feasts, the Feast of Tabernacles, the Lord Jesus advanced upon the thought of living waters as a spring towards missions--torrential rivers flowing through you!
