Summary | David's refusal to go to war with the Ammonites illustrates a spiritual parallel in his heart of spiritual Ammonites. It takes a miracle of God to affect a tremendous attitdue change of hating the "Ammonites" within. The external conflicts in David's life are of the most aggravated form to illustrate that no opposition from the outside can undo the work of God in our souls. The book ends with victory: a psalm, strength of character, and need for the blood of the Sacrifice. |
