| Summary | The final preparation of faith prior to going in and possessing the land centers upon the knife, the blood, and the sword. The knife (circumcision) expresses inward victory over the sins of the heart as well as a weakening that gives God the glory for victory. The blood (Passover) teaches that you get into the Promised Land the same way you got out of Egypt--by faith's feeding upon Christ, the Passover Lamb. The sword (the Angel of the LORD) points us to the Lord Jesus Christ Himself as commander who must win the battle. |
