Summary | The book of Malachi serves both as an ending for the Old Testament and an introduction to the New Testament. Unlike all other prophets who dealt with an external crisis (i.e. invading armies), Malachi deals with a crisis that is internal: God hasn't spoken in a long, long time. Through the prophet God speaks personally and directly to His people in a severe tenderness to answer the whispers of the heart. |
